BEAUTY&YOU by The Shilla Duty Free is a store situated in Hong Kong International Airport. Weald Creative were briefed by GP Studio in London to create a Virtual Reality visualisation that would be sent to Hong Kong so the architects and client could get a feel for the space.
The 3D studio provided 8k 360 renders for various locations across two main areas. We built a Unity app that used simple gaze mechanic to navigate between the locations by looking at hotspots.

At the time the only viable hardware solution was a Samsung phone attached to a Gear VR headset. We had to hack the software to increase the graphics quality and allow for much larger texture sizes, so it was running a little hot! After some time testing, we were confident the phone wouldn't explode and we shipped it off.
The client was delighted with the results.
If you are creating 3D visualisations of proposed stores, interiors, exhibitions, and you need to show them to your client, the best way to place them in these environments that don't exist yet, is with Virtual Reality.
Exporting equirectangular 360 renderings of the environment is quite straightforward, and publishing them to a headset is a piece of cake nowadays.
We can even package the app up pre-installed on the headsets and ship them over to the client for you.
